Europe’s biggest auto painting group, pierre.dk Autolakering A/S, has just taken over Aros Billackering AB in Uppsala north of Stockholm.
Based in Kolding and the biggest auto painting group in Europe, pierre.dk Autolakering A/S is seriously manifesting its market-leading position in neighbouring Sweden.
On 1 September, the pierre.dk chain is thus taking over Aros Billackering AB, a major auto painting centre situated in Uppsala, approximately 70 kilometres north of Stockholm.
– It is a well-managed auto painting centre which is now becoming part of the pierre.dk group. Aros Billackering is situated in Uppsala, a strong growth region, and Charlie Ekstrand has really shown the way in Sweden through impressive process optimisation initiatives and excellent logistics solutions. The very considerable growth potential which he has created is a perfect match for the pierre.dk concept, explains Pierre Legarth, founder and Chairman of the Board of the pierre.dk group.
The owner of Aros Billackering AB is 39-year-old Charlie Ekstrand, himself a qualified auto painter. His role in the new constellation will be that of daily manager of the auto painting centre; in addition, he will also be involved in developing the chain’s painting processes in Sweden.
– These are truly exciting times. I had, of course, heard about the group before, and it feels just right that pierre Billackering AB should be taking over my business, says Charlie Ekstrand.
Things are going well for the auto painting centre in Uppsala, and this is expected to continue.
PIPELINE OF POTENTIAL ACQUISITIONS
– There are, of course, a number of new routines which we will now start implementing in our business. pierre.dk has created an extremely competitive concept, and we are greatly looking forward to introducing it here, explains Charlie Ekstrand.
Following the acquisition of the auto painting centre in Uppsala, pierre Billackering AB now runs nine centres in Sweden, and our growth strategy focuses on further acquisitions in Sweden, Germany and Denmark. We have a pipeline of many interesting foreign acquisition candidates, and the auto painting market is looking up. We are therefore extremely positive about the future where parameters such as volume and economies of scale are expected to swing the balance in our favour, says Pierre Legarth.
